Frigbot Wifi Instructions

Frigbot Wifi requires a two-part setup where we will [Part 1] configure the wifi communications to talk with your wifi network [Part 2] assign the Frigbot WiFi device to your Frigbot account so you can access the information

 

Part 1 - Set WiFi password

The Frigbot device needs to communicate with the internet. To do this you will need to set the WiFi Network and Password. If the password changes you will need to repeat this process

  1. ▶ Plug your frigbot device into a compatible controller. The screen on your device will change and should indicate your controller type (example 'Dixell')
  2. ▶ If your Device screen has a message "AP Config" skip the next set and goto step 4
  3. ▶ Press the config button on the rear of your device for 2 seconds, and you will see a message that says "Cfg Button" then wait 5 seconds and you will see the message "AP Config"
  4. ▶ From your smartphone, connect directly to the Frigbot device wifi, got Settings on your phone -> then WiFi Setting -> connect to FRIGBOT-#serial-num
  5. ▶ Open a web browser on you iPhone and Goto http://192.168.4.1
  6. ▶ You should see the Wifi Config page:
    *if you need advanced network setting press the advanced Button Select your WiFi Network SSID from the drop-down box Set your Password in the password field Press the [Submit] button
  7. ▶ WAIT 10 seconds, while the device tests the WiFi connection.
  8. ▶ If everything is correct you will see the Success Message and you press the [Exit] button and proceed to Part 2 of these instructions if you see the Fail Message press the [Config] button and go back to step 6

Part 2 - Assign this Device to your Frigbot Account

You only need to complete these steps for a new Frigbot device

  1. ▶ Scan QR CODE Login to the frigbot website on your smartphone https://frigbot.com/login Open the Frigbots tab. Then Click "Scan Frigbots" to scan the QR Code
  2. ▶ The Frigbot Website will Guide you thru the next steps, you will need to enter:
    CONTACT - which is typically the customers business name
    EQUIPMENT - name of the equipment, example "coolroom 1"
  3. ▷ RELAX - It will now take about 20 minutes for your Frigbot to collect enough data to enable a full sync with the Frigbot cloud application.
  4. ▶ After the device has fully synced to the Frigbot cloud you can open the ‘CONFIG ALERTS’ tab inside the frigbot app, and configure your alerts and enter your SMS number.
